Q: My dog has never been around other dogs. Can I still bring him to DOGGIE DOMAIN?
A: Our daycare environment can be a great opportunity for a dog to learn how to socialize with other dogs in a supervised manner. As long as your dog meets all of the requirements we have for dog guests, we will set up a meet & greet appointment. This is to assess your dog’s comfort level at DOGGIE DOMAIN and determine if he is a good candidate for our environment.
Q: How often should I bring my dog to daycare?
A: Most of our doggie guests visit a couple of times per week -- some more frequently, and some less frequently. We recommend that your dog comes at least once a month to stay in tune with the Doggie Domain environment & play groups. We find that if dogs do not visit at least that frequently, they often are resettling into the group dynamics on every visit which is not ideal for them or the other doggie guests.
Q: My small dog loves to play with other small dogs but he is afraid of big dogs. How would that be handled?
A: We have 2 playrooms for our dog guests. Generally, we have the smaller dogs in one room and the bigger dogs in the other. The only exception is if there is a dog whose temperament and energy level better match dogs in the other room. Knowing our dog clients as personally as we do, we are able to make that judgment call on a case-by-case basis.
Q: My dog loves playing with other dogs but gets tired after a few hours and just wants to rest. Does he have to stay the entire day?
A: No, we offer half-days of play which is up to 5 hours. We find for many of our dog guests this is the ideal amount of playtime.
Q: What are the rates for daycare?
A: Rates for daycare are based on the size of the dog and the length of the time the dog is in daycare. We offer half-days and full-days of daycare. We also offer discounts for pre-paid packages. Click here for prices >>
